My design journey started at the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Interior Design from the School of Architecture and Interior Design, my formal education in design anyway. Many people know the college as DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art & Planning). As I’ve noted in other posts, I have always had curiosity about the use of space.
There are many iconic structures of the world that we are used to seeing.
In college, I was exposed to so many amazing architects and their works. Here are some of my favorites.
Frank Lloyd Wright (June 8, 1867 – April 9, 1959)
Louis Sullivan (September 3, 1856 - April 14, 1924)
Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 – July 4, 1826)
Antoni Gaudi (June 25, 1852 - June 10, 1926)
I enjoy many different styles of architecture. Here are a few other favorite buildings.
While always pushing the limits of the modern technology of the time, many of the newer structures seem to defy gravity.
And there’s always the local favorites. The Cincinnati area has some amazing architecture!
